Humor Generation with Qwen and Group Relative Policy Optimization
With Luting Hou. Proceedings of the 20th International Workshop on Semantic Evaluation.
I work on natural language processing, from author profiling to humor generation. In January 2027 I start my PhD at the Université de Montréal and Mila, supervised by Ayla Rigouts Terryn.
I've built in-car voice assistants, LLM chatbots and RAG systems, and I currently automate internal processes with AI at LIQID in Berlin.

German author profiling. Predicts age, gender, regional dialect and education level from text, combining linguistic features with deep learning. The final report is in German.
Part of the Operational Excellence team. Builds AI-native solutions that automate internal and customer-facing processes. Working student, Berlin.
Developed and deployed voice and text virtual assistants. Built vector databases and retrievers for RAG systems. Working student, Berlin.
Worked on the NLU team for the NOMI in-car assistant, first as an intern, then as a working student in Berlin. Led data engineering for 50+ skills in three locales (German, English, Norwegian) and managed data vendors and internal resources. Built a data engineering platform to bring NLU support for new skills up to speed, and helped develop a pipeline to improve voice activity detection.
Sponsored to build experimental author-profiling software: a neural network pipeline that predicts the age, gender, education level and origin of an anonymous author.
